About Longhorn Students for Israel
Longhorn Students for Israel stands as a beacon at the University of Texas at Austin, committed and dedicated to educating and uniting students through a comprehensive understanding of Israel by providing a diverse range of educational programs, speaker events, engaging dialogue, and much more.
In February, we collaborated with UT Chabad to host Neta Abir Lev, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival, for our inaugural event. Over 100 students, administrators, and faculty members attended to listen to Neta's compelling story.
Six months post-October 7th marked the turning point for Longhorn Students for Israel as our hard work behind the scenes began to pay off. Longhorn Students for Israel became a registered student organization and had our first fundraising campaign where we raised $18,000 in a week. At the same time, protests on campus were rising and the Jewish/ Pro-Israel student population looked to us for guidance. We initiated gatherings at these protests to express solidarity with Israel and condemn terrorism.
